Suits season 7 spoilers: What to expect over final six episodes

When Suits season 7 returns to USA on Wednesday night with new episodes, in many ways we’re going to be witnessing the beginning of the end of a significant chapter of the series. Mike Ross and Rachel Zane are saying goodbye; yet, it’s not the end of the series as a whole. With these characters there are still great stories left to tell and while we have a little bit of apprehension  (that’s expected), we’re also excited to see the next chapters of Donna, Harvey, Louis, and others.

Let’s start here, though, by focusing in on the episodes about to air and what to expect.

1. Some sort of fitting end for Mike and Rachel – Presumably, their story could conclude with some sort of wedding ceremony — it’s hard to imagine anything else happening and us being as excited about it. If the USA marketing gods have their way, this will be timed as closely as possible to Meghan Markle’s actual wedding this spring.

2. The beginning of Jessica Pearson’s new chapter – The finale will be, in part, a lead-off into the new spin-off that is featuring Gina Torres has her long-famous character venturing into the world of Chicago politics. Earlier this month this show was officially ordered, which means that everything that happens within this hour for Jessica will matter long-term.

3. You will see Harvey’s mother again – This was confirmed in a post on Twitter by creator Aaron Korsh.

4. There will be some familiar faces turning up – One of our personal favorites in Abigail Spencer is going to be dropping by at one point during the final six episodes as Dana Scott a.k.a. Scottie. There could be some more surprises along the way, as well — if Mike gets married, we’d love it if some of the people that he’s helped in the past find a way to be there.

5. Darvey – For everyone who loves Donna and Harvey, consider the tease below from Korsh and start scratching your chin as to precisely what it could mean. Ultimately, color us intrigued as to what’s going to be coming up the rest of the way this season!
