Poldark season 4 star Eleanor Tomlinson releasing music album
In a statement this week, the actress revealed that she is getting set to release a debut album a little bit later this year entitled Tales From Home. This album will include covers of songs from a number of popular artists, and to go along with that is also going to feature a number of traditional Irish and Scottish folk songs. She also collaborates with her brother Ross, which is a nice reminder that a number of the most important people in her life hold that name.
Tomlinson is making it clear that it is really just due to Poldark fans that she is getting an opportunity to do something like this:
To have the opportunity to perform some of my favorite songs with Anne Dudley’s brilliant new arrangements has been wonderful, not to mention working alongside my brother Ross … I would like to thank the Poldark fans who inspired me to make this album. Without their support, this would not have been possible.”
Many regular viewers of Poldark have already heard Tomlinson’s singing voice as Demelza and some of the work that she is doing here only feels like a natural extension to everything else that she’s been doing. With that in mind, we’re just excited to see what the evolution of her as a performer is like. Also, we have to feel it is creatively satisfying for someone to be able to tackle a number of different things and flex some different muscles.

This album should be a nice companion to Poldark season 4, which is going to premiere on the BBC most likely this summer in Britain. (Meanwhile, we imagine that it is going to premiere later this fall in America.) Depending on what the response is to this, who knows? It’s certainly possible the Eleanor could release a little more music in the future.
