Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 16 spoilers: Jackson’s challenging operation

Jesse Williams

Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 16 is an episode that will be bringing a lot of interesting stuff to the table — but perhaps more so than any other is another critical operation for Jackson Avery. For those who love great Jesse Williams storylines, this one could be it. It’s a chance for him to skyrocket his career and his reputation to another level — one suited even more of the family name — if it is successful. However, if it’s not there is a very clear chance that this just blows up terribly in his fate.

This episode is entitled “Caught Somewhere in Time,” and you can see the full synopsis for this below via SpoilerTV:

Jackson must focus on the groundbreaking surgery he has scheduled with Catherine and Richard; Jo assists Bailey with a patient who used to be an astronaut.

We focus mostly here on the Jackson story just because Jo and Bailey’s patient is a little bit more abstract beyond just their job. Unless this is someone who was at the International Space Station for so long that their biology started to change (we have heard a little bit about that), it’s hard to know why being an astronaut is going to apply so much to their story.

Episode title discussion

For those wondering, “Caught Somewhere in Time” is a song is a song by Iron Maiden — not exactly the sort of group you often associate with Grey’s Anatomy. Still, we like this title in terms of how it applies to the show since it implies a sort of nostalgia or wondering if there was a moment in which something went wrong. We’re always down for titles here that are fairly thought-provoking.
