Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12 preview: Kim Raver’s Dr. Andrea Frost stops by

Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12

What’s coming up on Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12? This is an episode that is important on many different levels. For starters, this marks an opportunity to see the debut of Kim Raver as Dr. Andrea Frost. For those of you who love 24, this is a nice little reunion between Kiefer Sutherland and Raver. Beyond just that, we love that “Dr. Rebecca Frost” sounds very much like the sort of name that a comic-book supervillain would have, someone who can fire off ice from her eyes or fingers or something.

In reality, Dr. Frost is actually a high-powered innovator similar to Elon Musk, someone who could prove valuable to President Kirkman and his administration — provided of course that they are on the same page for most things.

Below, the Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12 synopsis gives you more of a sense as to what’s coming up next:

When a missile intended to bring water to stranded astronauts in space is hacked, President Kirkman must work with Russia and enlists the help of Dr. Andrea Frost (Kim Raver) to help save lives and find out who is behind the hack. Meanwhile, Hannah finds herself working with Damian again.

Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12 should help to set the stage for some of what’s coming in the second half of the season — war, drama, excitement, and a few more surprises along the way. This is a season that is going to test Tom in some rather big ways — not only is he struggling to tackle some of the duties that come with being President of the United States, but there’s also another big issue here: He is a widower. He’s still having to channel his grief — there is a time jump as you are seeing tonight, but it’s not as though Kirkman wakes up weeks after what transpired and is suddenly feeling okay.
