Supergirl actress Floriana Lima joins The Punisher season 2 cast
According to a report from Deadline, Lima is going to play the series-regular role of Krista Dumont, a “smart, compassionate, and driven psychotherapist for military veterans.” This should be an interesting, layered role for her, and it also represents her jumping over into the Marvel Comics world after playing Maggie Sawyer in the DC show ever since season 2. She opted to not return as a series regular for the third season.
What does this casting mean in terms of Lima’s return to Supergirl in the near future? The simplest answer is that it will make it difficult for Maggie to be a pivotal part of the show for at least the next year or so as filming for The Punisher season 2 gets underway. Yet, that doesn’t mean it shuts the door on her turning up for an episode or two if the scheduling is worked out. (We’ll try to record a video later in the day with a deeper explanation.) We’re happy for Lima (who also has worked on Lethal Weapon) landing this role we’re certainly intrigued to see what season 2 will bring with her on board.
As for Supergirl, new episodes will return to The CW in April.

Other notable castings
Shooter actor Josh Stewart is also poised to be a series regular for The Punisher, taking on a man in John Pilgrim who will appear fairly put-together and calm on the surface; however, underneath that is a bold, ruthless character. Meanwhile, Scream actress Giorgia Whigham will be a grifter by the name of Amy Bendix, someone who is able to use some of her street smarts in order to get what she wants. Yet, she’s also harboring many major secrets of her own.
