Nashville season 6 episode 7 preview: The Juliette – Avery mystery

Nashville season 6 episode 7 is coming to CMT next week, which we imagine is music to the ears of many show fans out there worried that there would be a hiatus because of the Olympics. There are two more episodes left in the first half of the season. After this, the country-music drama will take a break until most likely summer, when the final episodes of both the season and series are going to come on the air.

When you consider that there are only ten more episodes to go in the series, that should be a pretty firm indicator that the writers have to come up with some pretty dramatic ways in which to tie up the story. That means, for starters, seeing if Avery can track down Juliette. Her immersion into a Scientology-like cult as of late may seem on the surface like it’s a good thing for her, but pretty soon after that it will be very clear that this is not actually the case.

Daphne and Jake perform at school; Deacon and Jessie run into Brad; Alannah’s stage presence grows, creating a division in the band; Gunnar questions his relationship with Alannah; Maddie joins Jonah in Miami and bonds with Twig; Avery visits Juliette.

We feel like one of the central tenants of Nashville as a series has always been watching people deal with the ups and downs of fame and it is absolutely a thrill to see that this remains very much entrenched in the fabric of the series. It’s pretty significant to understand precisely where characters like Maddie, Jessie, and Juliette are coming from. They may make decisions here that they wouldn’t make if they didn’t have the spotlight on them. To see Daphne also potentially enter this at some point down the road is also interesting — especially in terms of whether or not she would learn from some of the mistakes of her sister. Sometimes, there are things that you do just need to learn for yourself.
