Gotham season 4 episode 12 spoilers: Alfred’s new start; Ivy 3.0’s arrival
Want to know a little more? Then take a look now at the official Gotham season 4 episode 12 synopsis below:
Gordon is called to the scene after The Toy Maker is hired to assassinate one of Gotham’s doctors. Lee Thompkins begins to try to rebuild the Narrows, with Nygma as her partner. Meanwhile, Alfred’s new life in the Narrows becomes complicated and Ivy (guest star Peyton List) reveals her new persona to Selina.
What’s somewhat interesting about this is that despite him being at the center of the cliffhanger ending, it doesn’t appear as though Cameron Monaghan is actually appearing in this episode as Jerome. He isn’t listed in the guest cast, and as you can see above he’s not a part of the synopsis either. For the time being, the focus seems to be a little bit more on getting a chance to see life in the Narrows, and that includes Alfred getting accustomed to life without being in Wayne Manor all of the time. That seems to be bringing him into the orbit of Lee Thompkins, which we absolutely think could be interesting. (These two spending time together seems to be a better course of action than Lee spending a ton of time around Nygma, which we know can take a turn for the worse really quickly.

This episode is now also officially the big debut of Ivy 3.0, which is the Poison Ivy we’ve been excited to see over time. While we still don’t necessarily believe that the series needed another version (Maggie Geha was doing just fine), we are interested to see how the Peyton List version is going to play out. She’s more dangerous than ever, and it’s possible she ends up being the Big Bad for at least the next several episodes.
