Criminal Minds season 13 episode 15 spoilers: Linda Barnes joins the BAU
We feel like, for the most part, fans of Criminal Minds have made their thoughts clear on Barnes … not that it is really all that much of a surprise. They don’t like her. Yet, at the same time we don’t exactly think that we were meant to like her. Why would we appreciate someone who comes swinging around the BAU like a wrecking ball? Emily Prentiss has already been suspended, and we imagine over the course of this episode her absence will be felt. We also wonder if it’s going to be difficult for some of the other members of the team to really operate as usual knowing that there is someone else hovering over them and watching their every move.
In addition to everything else that we’ve spelled out within this article, the Criminal Minds season 13 episode 15 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below gives you a good sense as to some of what’s coming:
“Annihilator” – The FBI’s assistant director of national security, Linda Barnes (Kim Rhodes), joins the BAU as they investigate a quadruple homicide of a group of roommates in St. Louis, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, March 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
You can now get an even better sense in this synopsis as to just how important Barnes is, and also how devastating that it’s probably going to end up being in the event that she and the rest of the other team don’t mesh. We’re talking about an UnSub that is responsible for multiple deaths and that should prove scary when it comes to them being a major threat.

We know that this won’t be the last episode for Kim Rhodes as Barnes; we’re mostly just interested in seeing how this character evolves — and also what viewers at home end up thinking of her on the other side of this.
