Gotham season 4 trailer features more Peyton List, Cameron Monaghan footage

Gotham season 4 trailer

We reported earlier in the day that Fox was planning to unveil the new Gotham season 4 trailer during a special tonight close to midnight; yet, they’ve actually chosen to do that a little bit early!

This trailer is more than five minutes long, but the first half of it is, by and large, a reminder of everything that has come to date. The second half is where we start to get into some new footage, and it’s stuff that looks pretty darn intense.

1. Jerome – Obviously, getting more Cameron Monaghan is a great thing because he is tremendous in his role. What we do also love is the idea of watching him and Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) go toe to toe in a really interesting and dynamic way. These are two of Gotham’s most-intense villains squaring off within Arkham Asylum. They haven’t really shared this sort of screen time together before and this could be a real collision course. Also, it may just be nice to see how one party ultimately chooses to react to the other.

2. Poison Ivy – Remember Ivy Pepper? Well, she’s certainly different now than she once was? Peyton List is now playing a character, and it’s clear almost right away that this is the most dangerous version of the character that we’ve seen by far. She is smart, she is wily, and she has powers that make her incredibly dangerous. This is going to be a significant adversary for the entire GCPD since she doesn’t think or act like the majority of the other characters on the show.

Obviously, there are also still many other returning villains coming sticking around, and it feels like Sofia Falcone is going to be at the center of almost everything. Through the first part of the season, it feels as though one of the biggest mistakes that Jim Gordon made was underestimating her. Is he doing anything different now? It seems like he’s walking a fine line to getting himself in trouble again.

As for Bruce Wayne, we’re certainly starting to see even more connective tissue than ever before when it comes to him and Batman. While that doesn’t mean for sure that he is becoming the Dark Knight, we are absolutely starting to move closer in that direction.

Gotham season 4 returns with new episodes on Thursday, March 1. Stay tuned for more, and share your thoughts in the comments.
