Scandal – How to Get Away with Murder crossover date revealed!
Today, ABC confirmed that on March 1, worlds are going to collide and you will see some of these characters collide with each other in some surprising ways. It doesn’t sound as though there is going to be a ton of intermingling between the entire casts, but you will see Kerry Washington over on How to Get Away with Murder as well as seeing Viola Davis over on Scandal.
You can see the first photo of the crossover below via Entertainment Weekly, and it absolutely looks as though you are seeing Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating working together in some capacity.
As for what the story of this big crossover event is going to be, it’s absolutely easy to have many different theories about that. For the time being, though, our feeling is that this is will be tied to Annalise’s lawsuit against the State of Pennsylvania and that, somehow, we will see Olivia be looped into that. Obviously, the timing of this lawsuit was designed for the most part as a means of ensuring that ABC got to have Washington and Davis on the screen together at the same time. After all, there really aren’t all that many opportunities for this to happen. Scandal is in its final season and will conclude later this spring.

These episodes are designed mostly as a love letter to fans, and while we do think that they’ll be interesting insofar as the story goes, this is far from the only reason to want to watch either one of these shows. A big part of the appeal is simply conceptual; it’s a chance to see two characters together who many fans have yearned to have on the small screen together for some time. There’s been an almost-constant demand to see the two of them together.
