Could Katie Lowes return to Scandal season 7 before series finale?

Is it possible that a Katie Lowes return could happen on Scandal season 7 by the end of the show? We certainly hope so, especially since this show that has spent so much time building this character and allowing her evolve. One of the saddest things that we can imagine when it comes to Quinn is having the end of her story being her supposedly killed off by Rowan in the mid-season finale.

CarterMatt has felt ever since that off-screen shooting happened that Quinn was not actually dead, and this was just yet another of Rowan’s signature manipulations in order to try and control Olivia so that he could get what he wanted. Quinn Perkins is a fighter, and we don’t exactly think that she would let Rowan get the best of her under just about any circumstance. We’re interested to see how she bounces back in the event that she survives. If she doesn’t for whatever sad/terrible reason, there’s a very good chance that she could turn up in flashbacks or some other shape or form. This is something that Katie Lowes confirms when approached by Entertainment Weekly on set (which could be a clue to many that she’s coming back to begin with):

“I can’t say anything much about why I’m here, but you know that the show deals a lot with flashbacks and time not necessarily moving in chronological order … You will find out very early on as soon as we come back what Quinn’s fate is. All I can say is some of the stuff you’re going to see is definitely the hardest stuff I’ve ever done for sure.”

There is definitely a lot to look forward to when it comes to Quinn’s future on Scandal season 7 provided that she survives, and with that, we’re going to hope for this as the outcome. The main reason that the absence of Lowes is happening is due to the actress’ real-life pregnancy and maternity leave.
