NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 12 review: Rise of Lankypants
After all, how else do you describe an episode that presents a side to Sebastian that we haven’t quite seen before? The story began with the rise in a dangerous new hacker known as the Jackal, someone who proved to be more than dangerous in just about every ways possible. It also turned out as the episode progressed that they had resources that stemmed far beyond computers. Think in terms of guns.
Above all else, NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 12 gave birth to an interesting new character named Lankypants, Sebastian’s high school alter ego. Adrian was an old friend of his, someone he had a crush on back in the day. The problem that she ran into here is that, at one point, she was accused of being the Jackal herself.
Sebastian took lead on the case with one purpose and one purpose only: Trying to figure out a way in which he could clear her name. Over the course of this episode (which included Lankypants showing her that he was an outright badass now), he also learned that she had some feelings for him back in the day and still did. He was able to use her app, and the help of his friends, to stop the Jackal, call it a day, and get a chance to go out with her in the present in the process.
There wasn’t a whole lot of super-deep stuff in this episode or storylines we envision sticking around for a rather-long time. There didn’t need to be. Ultimately, there’s one word we would use to describe this episode more so than any other: Fun. This episode was a thrill to watch and brought a lot of entertainment to the table. There was some really great comedy, and there’s always something about Sebastian in the field that we love. It may just be that he doesn’t have any sort of natural affinity for it so action scenes featuring him are way different than action scenes featuring almost anyone else.

Final Verdict
NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 12 is one of the best episodes of the entire season, at least as a big-time Sebastian Lund fan. We were so entertained throughout that it almost didn’t matter that Pride was MIA for much of the hour. After all he’s been through, doesn’t he always deserve a break every now and then?
