The 100 season 5 premiere date revealed; also, iZombie, Lucy Hale’s Life Sentence, and more
Ready for a wide array of important dates courtesy of The CW? CarterMatt has plenty of them coming up from the TCA Winter Press Tour in Los Angeles.
Let’s start with The 100 season 5 premiere date — the Eliza Taylor series will start off on Tuesday, April 24 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
We know that this is the latest that The 100 has aired a season, and as a result of this there are going to be some episodes that stretch well into June. However, at the same time there is some merit to the show being on at this time! For starters, it’s going to benefit from airing after the final episodes of The Flash, which is the best lead-in that you’re going to find on The CW. Beyond that, there will probably be less competition against it in the summer. If viewers can get hooked on The 100 again over the first few weeks, they could stick with it over the summer and that could help to propel it towards a season 6.
At the moment, The 100 needs all the help that it can get — its ratings make it firmly on the bubble.
Other premiere dates
iZombie season 5 – The Rose McIver series is going to be airing starting on Monday, February 26 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. The series is going to be following up Legends of Tomorrow, which is moving into that spot while Supergirl goes on an extended hiatus until April.
Life Sentence – The new series starring Lucy Hale is going to premiere on Wednesday, March 7 at 9:00 p.m. following Riverdale. Hale stars as a young woman who, upon learning she is going to die, decides to live life to the fullest and goes all out. Unfortunately, soon after this she realizes that she is actually going to survive and now has to deal with all of the decisions that she made spending money and taking big risks.
Dynasty – It may have received a full season, but The CW is not showing a ton of confidence here. On March 9, the show will finish out its run on Fridays in the place of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
