Madam Secretary season 4 episode 11 return date for Tea Leoni, cast
While the show starring Tea Leoni is going to be off the air next week (Christmas Eve) and the week after (New Year’s Eve), you’re not going to have to wait any longer than that for the next phase of the season to begin! The series returns on Sunday, January 7 and early indications are that you’re not going to have to wait until 10:30 p.m. or later in order to see it. For now, Madam Secretary is listed as starting at 10:00 p.m. … but all fans of the show probably know by now to take this with a grain of salt.
Below, CarterMatt has for you the full Madam Secretary season 4 episode 11 synopsis and it suggests that there are quite a few interesting things coming up for some of these characters:
“Mitya” – When Vice President Hurst (Jayne Atkinson) feels threatened that Secretary of State McCord is vying to be the next president, she attempts to set Elizabeth up for failure by promising that Americans will continue to be able to adopt Russian orphans, despite the potential ban by Russia’s president. Also, Elizabeth and Henry find out Stevie is dating Dmitri after he is followed by a Russian assassin, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Jan. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Geoffrey Arend directed the episode.
First of all, isn’t it rather nice to have a familiar face like Arend behind the camera? “Mitya” represents Arend’s directorial debut — at least for a TV series — and it sounds as though Barbara Hall and the entire creative team have a pretty meaty story for him. For those wondering, “Mitya” is a name of Russian origin and typically refers to someone who loves the Earth. While the part of the episode revolving around Elizabeth and Vice-President Hurst will probably have the highest stakes, we’re definitely intrigued at seeing how Elizabeth and Henry react to Stevie’s new relationship. Dmitri is probably not the safest person in the world for her to be dating.

Mitya is also a diminutive of Dmitri.
Dmitri’s sister called him Mitya several times.
