Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers finale: Who should win?

Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers finale

The Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers finale is coming on CBS in one week’s time, and signs point to it being big.

There are entering the finale five players left in contention for the grand prize: Ben, Ryan, Chrissy, Devon, and Mike. What’s great about this is that we can envision scenarios where almost all of them could win. If we had to pick one right now, we’d say that it’s Chrissy who makes to the final three and takes it home. We don’t see her being the primary target of almost anyone left and she’s shown herself to be very impressive in some of the challenges. She’s also got that great Survivor arc, one where she started off as someone who struggled mightily to compete but ended as a serious force to be reckoned with — she’s one of the best puzzle-solvers left and that matters a lot at this point in the game.

Beyond Chrissy, Mike probably has a great shot just because he’s such an underdog character who’s managed to withstand a lot of obstacles and being the last person standing from his tribe. The one thing standing against him, stupid as it may be, is that he’s already very successful in life and may be viewed as not needing the money.

Then, you have Ben, Ryan, and Devon, and we’d say that their odds are around the same. Ryan’s disappeared a little bit as of late in terms of being a big game-player, but he was huge at the start of the season. Meanwhile, Devon’s the likable guy who’s played a better game than he’s been given credit for … but can he sell the jury on that? Ben is the Brad Culpepper of the group that is left. We do think he’ll get a lot of credit for some of his idol finds if he makes it to the end, but it’s too much of a toss-up to just assume that the jury is going to vote for him without much of a strategic game. That’s why if he is there with a Chrissy or a Ryan especially, there’s a good chance that one of them ends up beating him.

Overall, kudos to this Survivor season for coming alive the past few weeks — this is starting to feel a lot like San Juan del Sur. While the start of the season left a ton to be desired, the endgame is starting to shape up to be really exciting.
