Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers episode 10: Are alliances crumbling?
We find ourselves rooting for Mike at this point in the game. He’s an underdog, he’s likable, and he’s a fish out of water. As for Joe, he’s at least stirring the pot. Keeping these two guys around is entertaining television and with that, it’s more interesting to find ways for the two of them to stay in the game.
As for whether or not that’s going to actually happen, it’s hard to fathom despite some people starting to approach them with possible moves. They’ve made themselves obvious outsiders in some ways thanks to everything that has been said over time. They don’t have great relationships, (especially when it comes to Joe) with anyone else. The thing that some of these people probably need to realize within the main alliance is that they’re not running the show … but some of them may not be able to. Take, for example, Ben. It’d actually benefit him at this point if he, Lauren, and Devon teamed up with Joe and Mike to pick off Ryan, Chrissy, Ashley, and JP. (Side note: It took us two minutes to even remember that JP is even still a part of this season.) Chrissy is probably the person in the best spot right now given that she’s got close allies almost everywhere within the seven and splitting up that group would be super-complicated because of that. Also, think about some other bonds — Ashley, for example, is close with both JP and Devon from various points in the game. Meanwhile, Ryan still thinks that Devon is his #1 even if that is not actually the case.
Do we think that a big blindside is coming? Probably, but it’s going to be of someone like Ben and at it may not come until seven. At that point, it’s hardly even a blindside at all since he’s playing such an out-in-front game trying to determine some of the decisions.
