Bull season 2 episode 9 spoilers: Bull’s lonely Thanksgiving
While we do often relate the holiday to feelings of happiness and joy, within this episode you are going to be reminded of one thing when it comes to this character: He is very much alone. He doesn’t have loved ones anymore, he’s not married, and while he may be a good boss at the TAC, they don’t want to sit around and eat turkey with him on Thanksgiving Day. They have some of their own friends and family to go home to.
If you do want to get some other insight all about this, be sure to check out the Bull season 2 episode 9 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below:
“Thanksgiving” – As Thanksgiving approaches, Bull releases his team to enjoy the holiday with their families, only to find himself working a case solo when he agrees to help a boxer who is being tried for murder. Also, Chunk makes a major personal decision at his family’s Thanksgiving dinner, while Marissa’s dinner with Kyle (Gary Wilmes) is abruptly cancelled when he is mugged, on BULL, Tuesday, Nov. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode should give Bull a chance to sort through some of what he wants out of life. Do we think that he’s ever going to stop working? Probably not, but maybe after getting so lonely that he takes a case during the holidays we think that it could cause him to be a bit more introspective about some of the other things that he could want. The more that we dive into this concept, the more that we hope to see Bull change – even slightly. We’d like to see him in a relationship that doesn’t just casually pop in and out into town, just as we’d like to see him deal better with some of the ones that he’s had. Wouldn’t it be nice to get Yara Martinez back on the show at some point as his ex Isabella? That hasn’t happened since last season.
As for everything else within this episode, we’re very interested in seeing what is going to be happening when it comes to Kyle and Marissa. The relationship between these two was very much romantic earlier this season, but how long will it stay that way? Marissa is not altogether familiar with being in relationships so we foresee many possibilities for mistakes along the way.
