Me, Myself & I effectively canceled at CBS; episodes pulled
Today the network opted to take the series, (which starred Bobby Moynihan as one of three iterations of the same character across several decades) off of their Monday schedule. While the entirety of the initial 13-episode run will be completed, seeing it removed from the schedule tells us that if CBS was happy with the show, they’d be both keeping the show on Mondays and giving it additional episodes to go along with it.
If you have followed the show’s ratings you will know this move is not really all that surprising. Me, Myself & I drew some woeful numbers this week and consistently placed last among the network’s Monday comedy block. Originally it was set to lead into Superior Donuts, but after the ratings failed to impress, the network opted to move a few things around and put Superior Donuts at 9:00 p.m. Eastern instead. Now, Moynihan and company won’t be on the schedule at all for the time being. It’s possible that the remaining episodes may be held until fall or could end up airing on Sunday nights. Either way, let’s hope that you are the patient type if you want to see how the rest of this story goes.
CarterMatt takes no pleasure in reporting this type of news (in fact it’s the worst). This was a show we were especially excited for during upfront season. This Is Us showed the potential for shows that play into several different eras and Moynihan is one of our personal favorite Saturday Night Live cast members. It helps that he consistently comes across on the show as warm, inviting and relatable. It was also fun to see him promoting his new show this summer on Big Brother, especially since he is a longtime fan of the reality series. This is one of those shows we were really rooting for to get a full season and stick around for a while.
Hopefully, it takes no time at all for Moynihan to get another gig elsewhere — with his talent level we’re sure that he will.

This was a show that showed some morals & values for a change. I guess double entendres & sex is all that tv wants anymore. CBS could have given it more of a chance & promoted its clean fun more.

This was my favorite new show. I schedules my DVR to record this last episode and was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I tried to watch it and saw Superior Donuts instead and it cut off just as Me, Myself and I started. I have been recommending the show to everyone.
