Bull season 2 episode 6 spoilers: Meet Bull’s high school sweetheart

For those of you who yearn to see Jason Bull’s softer side, signs point to Bull season 2 episode 6 providing that opportunity. While we have seen bits and pieces of the earlier part of his life on the show before, this October 31 installment entitled “The Exception to the Rule” could be an outstanding showcase for this character. We could learn more about his time in high school and, beyond that, one of the first great loves in his life. Who wants to bet that whatever happened here could be an indicator of why Bull is the way that he is now? Isn’t this often how love works in this early, important stage of his life?

Below, the Bull season 2 episode 6 synopsis gives you a little more sense of what is coming here:

“The Exception to the Rule” – Bull travels to a small town on a personal mission to help his high school sweetheart, Allison (Ali Marsh), sue a local factory that she believes is making residents ill by contaminating the water, on BULL, Tuesday, Oct. 31 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This story sounds a little bit like Erin Brockovich, but we’re fine with that since you’re basically throwing the Bull character into what is a familiar environment. For those who recognize the name of Ali Marsh, she has appeared on such shows as The Path, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and Gypsy earlier this year. We’ve liked Bull in the past when we’ve seen some of his past romantic dalliances turn up — the bar is set high after seeing Yara Martinez on the show last season as Isabella Colon. Their relationship was so interesting and complex that it makes us wonder what all of the other past relationships in Bull’s life look like. We’re certainly going to be excited to see from start to finish just how this story ends up going.

As for whether or not he has a good chance of helping Allison win this case, this is Bull! This is the sort of stuff he excels at.
