Criminal Minds season 13 episode 5 promo features Shemar Moore return
What is his role in the story this time around? While during the season 12 finale he returned in order to offer some support in the Mr. Scratch investigation, he is coming back here in order to provide a little bit more in the way of emotional support. The return of Jamie Kennedy’s famed character from ten years ago is going to lead to Penelope Garcia reliving a very traumatic period of her life. She is going to need some support and a shoulder to lean on, and who better to offer that for her than Morgan? We know that he cares about his “Baby Girl” and would do anything in order to help her feel better. In this episode you’ll get a chance to see a little more in the way of specifics as to what he will try to do for her.
As for how much of Derek we’re actually going to see in this hour, we do remain a little bit cautious in regards to that. Upon watching this promo you may get the impression that he’s a huge part of the hour but we’re not 100% sure that this is really the case. After all, remember that he has another show in SWAT that also monopolizes a lot of his time so it’s going to be hard for him to balance both doing that show with being able to appear over here for the entirety of this episode.
Ultimately, though, what matters most is that you’re probably going to love this episode if you love Morgan anywhere near as much as we do at CarterMatt. He already brings some of his signature style and charisma to the show, and we do still love that he’s game enough to keep coming back even after his own time on the show has come to a close.
