Stephen Colbert raises 1 million for Puerto Rico
Last night on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert the talk show host made a big announcement. Thanks to the support of celebrities, hungry ice cream eaters and many others, the final donation about of an impromptu campaign to help victims of hurricanes in Puerto Rico is one million dollars. The photo celebrity challenge offered viewers a look at celebrities in the tweens and teens with every confirmed photo generating a $1,000. Adding additional donations by CBS and Nick Kroll’s show, the cash quickly added up.
Once Upon a Time returns for a 7th season
The Once Upon a Time season premiere airs tonight and viewers are excited to see how things have changed. Set in Seattle, the series doesn’t finalize issues from the previous series and fast forwards a few decades to continue the show. As a huge fan from the previous seasons, I can’t imagine how this will all come together. Of course that’s why I will be watching to see exactly what happens. If you’re a Once Upon a Time viewer, I know you will be watching too. And we all will be blowing up social media tonight after the program to share if we like or hate the beginning of the new season.
Dancing With the Stars drama
The Dancing With the Stars drama hit the 25th season early this time around. Every year there appears to be some sort of minor upheaval, but the rift between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey (and what it was about nobody has confirmed for sure) has really taken over the headlines. The good news is Vanessa and Maks is back in the rehearsal studio working on their dance moves for Monday. The bad news is this type of behavior is a serious turn off for fans.
When it comes to DWTS, the reason people love to watch is the dance moves and the personalities. When one or the other doesn’t show up (or even hints that might not be there) the commitment of watching is gone. Who wants to watch every episode and vote knowing that there is conflict between the pairs? My point? As a big fan of this show, I really wish the stars and pros would focus on dancing right now. If the problems of the pairs are so big that they can’t arrive on the dance floor as hired to do, they should go home…and stay home for the remainder of the season.
