Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Paul’s latest monologue (day 62, evening)
The one big of entertainment hope we still have comes after Mark is gone Thursday night — everyone has to start turning on each other in this dominant alliance, and things could get reasonably messy then.
Earlier today, we got to see a little more of where Paul’s head is at, and some of the specific (and pretty smart) plans that he has moving forward in the game. With Mark gone, he wants to see Jason, Alex, and Matt go over the next few — he would like to keep Alex around a little longer than the other two, mostly because he feels comfortable with her that she won’t do anything to jeopardize his game in the immediate future.
From there, the next phase of his plan seems to be to get Kevin out at final five, and have someone else in his alliance do it — he doesn’t want to win the final five Head of Household, which makes sense if you feel fairly safe. The bigger HoH to win is the one at final four given that you’ve only got two opportunities to guarantee your safety and you don’t want to leave your fate in the hands of a single player. He wants to get Raven then out at the final four (a slightly mistake, since she’s far more useless a player than Christmas) and go with Christmas and Josh to the final three. This is still a configuration that he could beat.
Is Paul one of the best players in Big Brother history of he makes it to the final two? Well, he’d join Dan Gheesling in the club of having two appearances that far in the game. Yet, he also was safe for the first few weeks this season, and you can argue was aided a lot last season by Victor coming back twice. We’ll probably talk about this more if he makes it all the way to the end of the game, given that there could be some things that happen from now until then. For now, we’d say that he would probably be a top 10-15 Big Brother player, but he wouldn’t be in our top five.
We just wish that there were more people who articulated their plans as much as Paul does — we have had a chance to hear from Josh tonight, but he for whatever reason still doesn’t recognize the threat that Paul is. He’s more concerned with talking about Kevin, feeling that he is a significant threat to his game because he’s starting to figure him out.
