Killjoys season 3 episode 4 spoilers: ‘The Lion, the Witch, & the Warlord’

Killjoys

As we move into Killjoys season 3 episode 4, we’re reminded very much that this show is up there with Supernatural in the episode-title department. How in the world do you get better than “The Lion, the Witch, and the Warlock,” anyway? It’s a great reference to a great work from C.S. Lewis, but how it ties into the story coming up remains to be seen … beyond the obvious that is made apparent within the attached synopsis below.

Killjoys season 3 episode 4 synopsis – “An ambush sends Dutch and Johnny running to Pree’s warlord past for help, as D’avin tries to get to the bottom of a Black Warrant that hits unexpectedly close to home.”

Hey, any chance to look back into a character’s past is something that is easy to celebrate once you get this far into a show’s run. Also, we’re absolutely not going to be a mad to see some cool new material for Thom Allison — it’s one thing to play a character in the present, but it’s also very much interesting to see what shapes someone and causes them to be who they are. There aren’t always that many opportunities to do that in the midst of the other craziness that is happening.

In the promo below, you can get a little more insight into the sort of fun that we’re going to see (is this the Killjoys version of Fight Club?), coupled with a little bit of arrest drama. All of this suggests that we’re in for a lot following yet other hyper-intense cliffhanger tonight.

The latest ratings update

As we’ve promised, we’re going to be posting the latest in terms of the show’s ratings on a weekly basis, and today, we’re discussing how the show performed for its July 7 episode. Overall, it posted a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just over 600,000 viewers. While it is still down in terms of its average versus season 2, this does mark an improvement over what the show drew this past week.

Overall, this is a number that does give us a little more in the way of optimism for the show’s long-term future, but we’re still far too early in the game to know anything one way or another for certain.
