Teen Choice Awards 2017: Lethal Weapon, Supergirl, Agents of SHIELD among Action nominees
Of these five, the cool thing is that it’s rather hard to accurately predict which one will be the winner! Nonetheless, that’s not stopping us from surveying the field and offering up a poll for you to pick some of your own personal favorites from the field.
How to vote – Just select your favorite in the poll below! You can vote however often you’d like, but you may need to refresh the page in the process. Also note that if you are viewing on an AMP page you may need to click to view the non-AMP version at the bottom of the page. We’ll announce some of the winners among CarterMatt readers on July 15.
Remember, voting here is not official. This is just a fun way to gauge the popularity of the nominees, and if they align with what the Teen Choice Awards voters decide.
The nominees: Choice Sci-Fi / Fantasy Actress

Lethal Weapon (Fox)
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (ABC)
Supergirl (The CW)
The Flash (The CW)
Sizing up the field
The presentation of Lethal Weapon in here is great since it’s a very entertaining show — but is it really a teen show? You could also ask the same question about Agents of SHIELD since its audience often is a little bit older. We seen an argument more for the other nominees.
Who will win
At this moment, signs point to Supergirl taking this based on the huge fan following that is out there online. Regardless of whether you ‘ship Karamel or Supercorp, the show getting some love is one thing that many should agree on. It’s funny, action-packed, inspiration, and one on the rise after an uneven first season. The Flash also has a chance, but we think that the Melissa Benoist series is the frontrunner entering the field.
Who should win
This is where things get interesting. If we thought that they were teen shows, we’d probably be inclined to debate Lethal Weapon and Agents of SHIELD. As it is, we do think that Arrow had the strongest, most-intense season of the group anchored by incredible performances from Stephen Amell and Josh Segarra. It effectively lifted the entire superhero TV genre to new heights, especially on a network like The CW that doesn’t often tread nearly as much on some of this darker material. Applause all around.
