Queen of the South season 2 episode 3 spoilers: Teresa vs. Vigilantes
Consider this one of those situations that is terrible for Teresa, but also pretty good for us as a viewer since it signals that there is going to be a chance to see some more electric drama play out in the weeks ahead.
Queen of the South season 2 episode 3 synopsis – “On a mission to destroy Epifanio’s drug smuggling tunnels, Teresa and James come face-to-face with a group of American border vigilantes.”
The fun thing about this story from a meta perspective is strictly that this is ONLY the third episode of this season! If you think that things are crazy right now, they’re only going to escalate from here the rest of the season. We’re only two episodes in, after all!
Based on some of the ratings that are currently out there for this show, one of the prevailing things that many people should be feeling out there is rather simple: Confident. There’s absolutely no reason to believe that this is a show that is going anywhere in the near future, and it’s only going to continue to escalate. The more trouble that they put Teresa in now, the more that the show may challenge itself to be better down the road. That can be very much a good thing to continue to keep the writers on their toes — provided that they don’t drag things beyond the realm of realism in the process.

Episode 2 had higher ratings than Rachel Maddow. Take that, MSNBC! As long as the ratings don’t drop drastically, this show could be on for at least another 2-3 years, maybe more.
