What should happen on Blue Bloods season 8 with Jamie, Eddie, more
Obviously, there are going to be some spoilers ahead in this article, so be aware of that before continuing to read any further.
Danny – Rebuild. It’s as simple as that. He lost everything material thanks to the fire caused by the cartel, but he still has what matters most. He needs to relinquish some of the guilt, and realize that his family has already done the same. Once he achieves that, he may be able to move forward.
Frank – Square off against a completely different Mayor. With David Ramsey seemingly leaving the show now, this marks an opportunity for the writers to come up with another interesting character who acts entirely different than Poole did, and serves as another new foil. Also, make them a bigger part of the show since you won’t be bound to an actor’s commitments.
Jamie – It’s easy here — get together with Eddie and cross every bridge when you come to it. Enough playing around. The show’s already explored his professional life this season, so let’s make things more personal now.
Erin – Find a new cause outside of the District Attorney’s office. While we’re not sure it would happen, we actually think it would be interesting to see Erin potentially enter more of a political space. She’s already worked in one job that often clashes with the NYPD; why not enough?
Eddie – Have a larger presence. Vanessa Ray was missing in action over the final episodes of the season, but she will be back in season 8. Have no fear!
Other characters – For Baez, we simply would like to learn a little bit more about her and see her friendship with Danny grow. Meanwhile, the rest of Danny’s family should be checked in on in the aftermath of the fire, and with Nicky now at a place in her life where she’s starting to figure things out, start to outline more of a career path for her.

Let’s start with frank : I think we should see him start to lose his passion for the job.We should hopefully see him have a love interest. Then have the season end with with retiring from the commissioner’s office.Season 9 should feature frank becoming the deputy mayor.
If they really wanted to shake things up they could reveal that frank has an illegitimate son.Maybe have the son be a career criminal.
Danny : He should be promoted to sergeant and maybe have linda give birth to another child.
Jamie : He should be promoted to detective 3rd grade.I really want to see him grow and be more confidant in his skills.I think after he is promoted he will begin to speed things up with janko.
Janko : I think she might take on a newbie and we will see her begin to become a mentor.Hopefully her relationship with jamie begins to deepen.Maybe even leading to a surprise pregnancy.
Nicky : I think she might join the police academy.
Henry : I hope henry is given more storylines.Maybe season 8 can be about him looking at his past.

I would love to see Jaimie and Eddie sitting together at the Reagan table and an engagement At Christmas time. Keep the duo working together. They light up the show with their loving and supportive behavior towards each other. Their Chemistry is exciting.

Do you mean “without” Eddie? If that’s what you meant to say, then I feel the exact same way. :)

I don’t think they should make Jamie a detective unless it is the end of the show because Danny and Baez already cover that aspect of policing. I like seeing the beat cop portrayed positively on TV and that’s Jamie’s importance to the show. Also, Jamie doesn’t seem 100% enthusiastic about pursuing that career, even if he’d be good at it. Personally, I would like to see Jamie promoted to sergeant so he could train new officers and enforce the more effective ways he does things on the beat.

Jamie would be good as a sergeant, though he and Eddie could each become detectives in areas other than homicide (robbery, vice, internal affairs, etc.)

Make Jamie a detective . Honestly I couldn’t care less what happens to Eddie.

Executive producer Kevin Wade said in an Entertainment Weekly interview that Jamie and Eddie will either be detectives next season or go undercover as part of a long sting for multiple episodes. I think I’d rather see them go undercover together, especially if they have to pose as a married couple. :)
