Supergirl season 2, The Flash season 3 finale spoilers released by The CW

Flash season 3 finale spoilers

Today, The CW officially unveiled the first Supergirl season 2 and The Flash season 3 finale spoilers, at least in the form of synopses.

We’re not going to lie to you — these are not the most revealing in the world. That’s why we’re bunching them up in a single article. Nonetheless, we’re excited to see what both of these episodes offer, and also if there is any sort of big cliffhanger coming up for additional seasons of the show. (Hey, they are both renewed for more episodes already.

Supergirl finale, “Nevertheless, She Persisted” – “Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) challenges Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) to battle to save National City. Meanwhile, Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) returns and Cat Grant (guest star Calista Flockhart) offers Supergirl some sage advice.”

The title here, in the event that you haven’t heard already, is a reference to a quote pertaining to Elizabeth Warren. It’s an interesting choice to be this political, but we do suspect that when the show airs, there probably won’t be much in the way of politics in this. Instead, we imagine that you’re going to get a chance to see some epic showdowns. Rhea’s shown herself already to be a formidable opponent for a wide array of different reasons. She’s not only determined / scary, but she is also very manipulative. For more evidence of that, you don’t have to look any further than what we saw her do when it comes to Lena Luthor recently.

The Flash finale, “Finish Line” – “With nothing left to lose, Barry (Grant Gustin) takes on Savitar in an epic conclusion to season three.”

This title shouldn’t shock anyone, mostly because of the fact that we’ve seen them go into overdrive with speed puns in the past. What obviously makes this one so interesting — and so different — is that we’re going to be getting an opportunity to see Barry Allen effectively fight himself. There are still some interesting questions here worth asking, including how Julian Albert was suddenly thrown into the world after Flashpoint. Hopefully, those will be clear at season’s end. We do think that we’ve got a good reference point as to what the future of the show holds now, given the fact that DeVoe was a word uttered by Abra Kadabra during that episode earlier this season.
