The Big Bang Theory season 11: Is Mayim Bialik returning?

Is Mayim Bialik returning

Is Mayim Bialik returning to The Big Bang Theory? In the wake of tonight’s episode, we understand you pondering over that question. However, we’re here to tell you that there is nothing for you to worry about.

Recently, Mayim and her co-star Melissa Rauch both signed deals that will allow the two of them to return to the show for the eleventh season and consequently the twelfth. They are each receiving a substantial pay raise, which they deserve after being somewhat underpaid in comparison to their fellow cast members. With that, don’t look at Amy’s departure to Princeton on the show tonight as anything more than the show just stirring up a little bit of drama. This is something that they’ve done with many characters over the years as we get into a summer hiatus, and this isn’t any different.

As a matter of fact, much of the dramatic pull behind Amy’s departure could be felt next week, when Riki Lindhome returns to the show as a woman obsessed with Sheldon. (Read more about that over at the link here.) Her presence could cause some waves in their relationship, but we like to think that Sheldon is mature enough in order to properly handle her being away for a little while.

Bialik first joined the show a few seasons into its run, and we honestly couldn’t imagine it without her at this point. Obviously, neither could the producers. In signing her and Rauch, they ensured that there would be no need to worry over the course of the summer about whether or not the two parties were going to be gone when season 11 started. If the show ends in season 12 (which is possible, but not confirmed), they should be around for the duration.
