Agents of SHIELD season 4 episode 21 promo: Back from the Framework

On the surface, you would think that there is a lot to celebrate on Agents of SHIELD season 4 episode 21 next week. After all, you’re getting a chance to see these characters back from their time in the Framework! They’ve spent so much time fighting to get back to their home, but what they are going to uncover in the process is that they are far from out if the woods. There is a final battle up against Aida that will be a part of the show next week; for the sake of this article, we can offer up a little bit more news in terms of what’s coming — without giving anything major away, of course.

Agents of SHIELD season 4 episode 21 synopsis – “Coulson and the team’s victory in the Framework is short-lived, as an even deadlier enemy looms against them all.”

That may not give away much, but it wasn’t meant to since the show knows that they don’t really need to. We know a little more at this point in terms of what is coming and what the big threats are moving forward this season. It’s exciting, and it could very well shape what is the most important finale of the entire series. For example, we do know that Ghost Rider will be back for the last episode, and that the show has a hard decision that they need to make given the fact that it’s not altogether clear one way or another if the series is coming back to ABC. Consider it, for now, firmly on the bubble. Maybe we will get some good news by the time the episode airs next week.

This video gives you a good sense as to what happens next with everyone (other than Mack) now on the other side, and some of the huge battles that are to come. Coulson clearly has the line of the whole promo with “you can go ahead and shoot him now,” and we’ve gotta brace ourselves now for whatever could be coming.

Sadly, the promo really doesn’t give us much of anything pertaining to Fitz or Aida, a shame given the end of tonight’s episode.
