Legion season 2: Premiere date speculation for Marvel – FX series
What we know for the time being is this — the show’s officially coming back. The Marvel – FX collaboration, which was executive produced by Noah Hawley, has a second-season order, but not necessarily any premiere date. You’re going to be waiting for at least a year, or potentially longer, to see Dan Stevens and company back on television.
When thinking about a possible Legion season 2 renewal, one of the biggest things that you do need to recall is that this is a show where there are many very-busy people on board. Take, for example, Hawley also working on Fargo. Meanwhile, Stevens just wrapped up doing Beauty and the Beast, where he played the character of the Beast. These are not people with an abundance of free time, so if it takes longer than a year to get the story right, it’s understandable. If the show does find a way to come back at around the same time next year, it’s still fair to say that we’ll be thrilled with it.
For now, just dive in and enjoy the finale. The trajectory of the series so far gives us every reason in the world to be excited for season 2, and that the show is going to figure out a way to live up to some of the super-high expectations that they’ve already thrown out there for themselves. While you wait, at least you’ve got another season of Fargo to check out — if you’re a fan of everything that Hawley does, odds are that you’ll want to continue experiencing that while you at the same time continue to look forward to this show.
