‘Suits’ season 6, episode 12 preview: Harvey Specter’s family drama takes center stage
The sixth season of “Suits” will be bringing you another new episode on Wednesday night, and this one seems to be picking up emotionally right where the winter premiere left off — with Harvey Specter making a very clear realization about the relationship with his mother. He realized that if he does want to move forward with his life and be the best leader that he can, one of the things that he needs to do is try and get right with his past.
This is where next week’s new episode “The Painting” is going to start to come into play, as you will have an opportunity to see him try to reconcile much of this past in the present, and there are a few occasions in which it is not going to go well. You get a good sense of this in the promo below, as there is almost immediate conflict when he sees his mother for the first time in seven years. Both parties are going to struggle to know how to handle this, and you have to wonder whether or not Harvey is going to be ready to take responsibility for some of the poor decisions that he’s made over the years.
As for his brother, that’s where things could get even worse judging that at one point in the promo, it looks as though the two characters about to get into a fight. He obviously needs to keep his emotions in check there, since otherwise he’s running a risk that he’s spent all of this time on personal growth for little to no payoff in the end. He’s effectively just going to find himself back in the same exact place in which he started.
As for everyone at the firm, we presume that for most of this episode, they’ll simply be doing their best to try and stay afloat.
