‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4, episode 12 preview: Patton Oswalt return in ‘Hot Potato Soup’

Are we getting closer to getting some more answers when it comes to the future of LMDs on Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD”? It’s possible, given that the next new episode of the show airing on ABC is going to take on in particular one enormous question: What in the world is going on with the Koenigs? There are so many of them, and given that they all bear such physical similarity to one another, it’s understandable that you would think that many of these guys could just be robo-version of the original.

This upcoming episode is entitled “Hot Potato Soup,” and that’s a lot of entertaining stuff potentially coming around the bend here! Let’s begin by sharing the official synopsis courtesy of ABC.

Synopsis – “Agents Sam and Billy Koenig (Patton Oswalt) are hunted down to get at the Darkhold book, and only Coulson and the team can save them before the clock ticks out.”

Of course, the Darkhold remains at the center of the story, which at this point shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone given that this has been a focal point of almost the entire season so far in one way or another. The part of this that includes Oswalt is the part of this that is new — and we’re definitely excited to figure out how his characters fit into the show. If nothing else, maybe he will prove himself to be a valuable source of humor.

Promo – The show does not holding anything back when it comes to what is coming up in the episode, with the biggest revelation being that the Koenigs could hold the fate of much of their world in their hands. We’ve got some extremely high stakes, but at the same time, also a little bit of comedy since we do have Patton coming aboard the show!
