‘The Blacklist’ season 4 spoilers: Is there still hope for Aram, Samar?

The Blacklist logo any seasonOn last night’s new episode of “The Blacklist,” we unfortunately learned that in the eyes of many at the FBI, Samar had betrayed them. She was looking out for the best interests of both America and the Mossad, and in withholding information from the Task Force, they’re not entirely sure that they can trust her anymore. Professionally, this is a big deal since we’re not entirely sure that her job with the team is so secure anymore.

Not only that, but there are some very present issues when it comes to her personal life; namely, Aram doesn’t seem anywhere near as interested as he was previously in going out to dinner with her. We do get that, given he was just burned by someone and he doesn’t want to be in that position again. However, at the same time we know that she’s got a great heart. She’s not out to betray him; she was just doing what she thought was right in this moment, and was suffering because of torn allegiances.

Is there still a reason to hope that things could turn around for the two? It seems that way, judging from what Mozhan Marno had to say about her character and Aram to TV Guide:

“I hope [they can work it out]. It’s gonna be kind of a bummer if [not]. But that’s what drama is all about. Even breakups don’t happen in a linear way, right? [Laughs]. I think it was a surprise to Samar [that he didn’t want to spend time with her]. And I can only hope that that’s not the last we hear of that story. I somehow think it won’t be.”

Luckily, there is still a lot of time left to go this season, which effectively constitutes two separate things: Time for Samar to win his trust back, and time for Aram to get over some of what happened to him previously. Combined, these two things could lead to things eventually moving along.

For now, we’re merely just hoping that the show continues to air on NBC. After all, we recently saw the show pull some of its worst ratings of the series last night on NBC.
