‘Shadowhunters’ season 2, episode 2 preview: The aftermath of Jace’s actions and more

The second season of “Shadowhunters” premiered on Freeform earlier tonight, and with that we of course saw a good bit of what we’d assume many people would want to see from the show — specifically, we’re talking drama, violence, and betrayals. This is a show that is changing its tone slightly from what we saw the first time around, but in the end, it is still the same show. Therefore, don’t expect any characters to be almost unrecognizable.

Next week, you’re going to have a chance to check out an installment entitled “A Door Into the Dark,” and we’ve got a little bit of the news in terms of what to expect for it now!

Synopsis – “The hunt is on for Jace Wayland, and Alec and Isabelle hope to reach him before the rest of the Shadowhunters do. With orders from the Clave of “shoot to kill,” the Lightwood siblings must act fast. Also on his own search, Simon turns to Magnus for help when he finds himself at odds with both Raphael and Aldertree.

“Meanwhile, Clary struggles to find where she belongs since she doesn’t seem to fit into the Shadowhunter world, yet can’t go back to her mundane life.”

As for the promo below, we do think that it does a great job of being dramatic, and of spelling out several of the different twists that are coming up. Unfortunately, this is also one of those “this season on” promos that we hate so much, since it really doesn’t individualize anything so much as just give you a few assorted clips from several episodes that are coming up. Without the proper context, we do think that this allows for so much greater confusion and a relative lack of understanding.
