Is ‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 10 new tonight? The new suit question

Let us begin this “The Flash” article with the rather-unfortunate news that there is, unfortunately, no new episode airing on The CW tonight. It’s not altogether difficult to pinpoint precisely why that is; specifically, just look at prior schedules. The CW never airs many new episodes that close to Christmas, knowing very well that there will be a smaller pool of viewers potentially watching than there would be at other points of the year.

The show is going to return next month with some more stories, and hopefully the aftermath to the big cliffhanger in which Savitar chose to take Iris West’s life in the future. Unless Barry changes that, he could be facing a very depressing future.

Now that we’ve said that, it’s time to raise another interesting question: Could a new costume also be coming Barry’s way? Grant Gustin suggested that he’d like to see one on Twitter, but it’s hard to know if he is talking about either a redesigned version or simply one that smells a little better. (He confirmed that the one he has does in fact smell, which we can imagine given that it has to be rather hot wearing it.)

Personally, we like the overall layout and design of the current suit very well, given that it fits the character fairly well and the white logo really pops off of it nicely. The one thing that we’d probably change is making it potentially a brighter shade of red. This is a show that is a little more lighthearted, and therefore we don’t need our Flash to be so maroon. Maybe a shade of red that is more similar to the costume of Supergirl is the right way to go there.

Anyhow, we know there are some more pressing matters like Iris’ fate — “Arrow” seems to get a new suit every year or two, so maybe that’ll be the same sort of thing here. Also, think of the extra money you could make off merchandise!
