‘Girl Meets World’ season 3 reportedly moving to earlier timeslot

Girl Meets World -Are we seeing some big changes coming up for “Girl Meets World“? At the moment, that certainly appears to be the case based on some of the decisions that we’re seeing the Disney Channel make when it comes to some of their programming.

According to a report from Nick and More, the final three episodes of the season — and possibly the series — are going to air on January 6, 13, and then the 20th. These episodes are also going to be moving up to a very surprising new timeslot in 6:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Why the dramatic change to hours far out of primetime? The site says that this is a part of an effort to return the show more to its heyday in the early 2000’s in order to further boost some of its ratings. They are really emphasizing hard right now nostalgia from that era, in between all of the “Hannah Montana” repeats and the news that the show is bringing back “That’s So Raven” in a new form. While “Girl Meets World” is nostalgia, it is not directly linked to the Disney Channel, since the original show aired on ABC.

At the moment, we’re left waiting for the most part in order to see precisely what the future is going to hold in terms of more “Girl Meets World” episodes. The network hasn’t announced a firm decision, and while we’d be all for a move to Freeform in order to age up the show slightly and introduce more themes prevalent with people in high school, there’s no indication beyond fan hopes that this is going to happen. The big thing to note is that, for now, the show has not been officially canceled, and that most people out there saying that at the moment are doing so without any real grasp on what’s actually going on with the show.
