‘Bones’ series finale filming wraps; David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, cast celebrate!
In a series of posts on Twitter, you can see confirmation that the cast and crew are now done, whether it be the stars of the show in David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel or some of the guests who stopped by over the years. The gang had their official wrap party last night, where they celebrated being one of the strongest scripted hits in the history of Fox as a network. This is a show that survived multiple timeslot shifts, episode counts, hiatuses, and changes to the cast before ultimately making it to this point. One of the things that was so fun about the run was that it was (in some ways) the perpetual underdog. You never quite knew for certain how long the show was going to be on the air, so a big part of the fun was the mystery of seeing how the fan base would rally together year after year to see more of the show.
We know that Boreanaz directed the final episode of the series, and to go along with that, there are a number of notable cameos that are also going to be coming up. Ultimately, we expect that there are going to be some really great opportunities to celebrate the legacy of the show, and also keep the story relevant to what Booth and Brennan are going through at that particular time.
Also, we’re rather thrilled to see another tweet from Kathy Reichs about the show, given that without her work, we would never have a show like “Bones” in the first place.
Interested in getting some other news on “Bones” as we get closer to the premiere? Then head over here to see some of the first details on the first episode! The show returns in early January, and should run right through until the twelve episodes are complete. (Photo: Fox.)
