‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ poster: Arnold Schwarzenegger takes center stage for new poster
The new season of “The Celebrity Apprentice” is going to be on NBC before you know it — specifically, we’re talking about Monday, January 2, and there’s a lot to be excited about here in the event you want some silly, entertaining reality TV.
From our vantage point, the biggest challenge that the series is facing is actually rather simple, and that is figuring out precisely how to build things moving forward amidst the specter of Donald Trump. The show obviously does not want to acknowledge his presence very much, if at all possible; they want to establish a new show and a new brand! Yet, at the same exact time they’ve also got to figure out a way to do this with a show that was so iconic to the now-President-elect for so many years. They also have to brace for the possibility that Trump will be tweeting about it regularly — remember here that this was a man who decided to do this very thing for “Saturday Night Live,” and he was not even a part of that show in any capacity other than as a host.
Also, the new “Celebrity Apprentice” star in Arnold Schwarzenegger endorsed John Kasich for President.
The poster below (via The Hollywood Reporter) gives you a little more insight into how precisely how the show is now being marketed after Trump’s win, and you really get the sense from this that executive producer Mark Burnett and NBC are really just trying to play up the fun factor as much as they possibly can. They are cognizant of the fact that we live in extremely stressful times, and they are going to give you something you can escape in. With the explosion and the chopper in the background, this is quintessential Arnold. Meanwhile, blowing up the old boardroom is a way to start anew.
At the bottom of the poster, you can get a sense of some of the show’s cast members, including Boy George, Vince Neil, and Jon Lovitz.
