‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’: Winners and losers from episode 11

Cast -There was utterly no way that this past episode of “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X” was going to stack up to the one that came before it, so with that in mind, our expectations were about right. Episode 11 showed itself to be very entertaining, and while there were ways to see the eliminated castaway coming about halfway through the hour, the way it happened was still incredibly entertaining.

Who made the right move and helped themselves, and who is now in a far worse position than they once were? In this latest edition of our Winners and Losers series, we’re going to do our best to pinpoint that.

Winner – Adam Klein. What a heck of an episode the guy had. He may be one of the biggest winners of any episode since we first started doing this series. While you can argue that he wasted his immunity idol given that Will ended up voting against, there was no way that he could’ve trusted someone who was not on his side previously and was seemingly going back and forth throughout the day. Add to this the fact that he managed to win immunity, get a fan visit, shore up a further relationship with Jay, and pawn off the reward advantage in the process, and you’ve got a pretty clear-cut case of someone who’s well-protected even without an idol and sitting pretty on his way to winning the game.

Loser – Will Wahl. For all of that work that Will did when it comes to the flip-flopping and the talk about building a resume, he was so transparent about it that we’re not sure anyone will look at what he did as particularly remarkable after the fact. Also, none of it even mattered because of Adam playing his idol! You can argue that he did more to potentially win the game in this past episode, but even if that’s so, it cam at the expense of his chance of making it that far. In our mind, he would’ve been better off waiting another week or two before trying something, and then being a little bit quieter about it.

Winner – You could really put either Jay Starrett or Hannah Shapiro here. In the case of Jay, you’ve got a physical threat entering the top eight with an immunity idol still in his position, and there’s at least a reasonable chance he can win one of the next two immunities and guarantee himself at least a spot in the top six. As for Hannah, she was instrumental in realizing that she ws going to be the target, and her social relationships continue to be an asset.

Loser – Bret LaBelle. He went from being a potential winner threat last week to now someone fairly out of the discussion. He’s still a likable guy, but he’s a huge social threat and the end and given how close he is to Sunday already, we’re not sure if anyone’s going to be that interested in working with him. He could easily be the next person sent out of the game.
