‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Return date; plus, standup comedy?
Tonight, “Jane the Virgin” aired an all-new installment that we’d certainly describe as rather eventful and then some. After all, over the course of the hour we learned quite a few different things about our main characters, whether it be their dating preferences — or, in the case of Rafael, his lineage.
By the end of the episode, Rafael realized that he is not a Solano as he first thought, and this opened the door to the possibility that he may not have a chance to receive the family fortune. As a result of that, we could see quite a wide array of changes arrive in his life … in time, anyway.
So when will you get to see some more of this play out? You may be waiting for a little while. The promo below suggests that the series is going to be back with new episodes on The CW come Monday, January 23, and with that, there appears to be a new venture for one of our characters: Standup comedy! We don’t want to give too much away right now, but the promo below should give you a little bit of a sense of that and so much more.
Now, let’s just hope that when the show returns, it maintains the right mixture of comedy, character development, and surprising twists and turns that make “Jane the Virgin” one of the best shows in its genre out there. It also needs to keep its ratings steady, since at the moment it’s not exactly much of a lock to be renewed for another season, either. It’s got some more to do in order to get there.
