‘Scorpion’ season 3, episode 10 preview: Walter vs. the La Brea Tar Pits
If there is one thing we can tell you about the La Brea Tar Bits, the subject of the next new episode of “Scorpion” airing on December 12, it is this: They smell. We’ve been there once, and that’s the most vivid memory that we’ve got of them in our head … and we got this while we were driving by in a car. For Walter O’Brien, he’s going to be diving into them in a way that is pretty much insane.
Fittingly, this episode is titled “This Is the Pits,” and much of the story tonight is going to carry over to it — at least in terms of Paige’s mother sticking around and getting involved in her family … regardless of whether or not she wants this to happen.
Synopsis – “Walter must swim through the deadly La Brea Tar Pits when Team Scorpion helps a woman trapped in the tar before she runs out of oxygen. Also, without Paige’s knowledge, her mother, Veronica (guest star Lea Thompson), “helps” Ralph maximize his troop cookie sales.”
This episode on the surface seems like everything we’d want from “Scorpion” at the moment: Fun, fun, and more fun. We don’t want this show to necessarily take itself too seriously, given that most of this just seems extremely silly, and it wasn’t too long ago that we had the episode remembering Megan. For those of you who do choose to watch this show more for the emotional moments, we imagine that you will still get a chance to experience some of that with the relationship between Veronica and Paige. After all, we still don’t necessarily know how much we can trust her given her past. Even if she does have good intentions, there is still plenty of potential for arguments between her and Paige.
