‘The 100’ season 4, ‘The Originals,’ ‘Reign’ premiere dates revealed; ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ moving
Today, The CW unveiled much of its midseason schedule moving forward, and that includes several different big premiere dates to go along with some other shows that are going to be shifting things around.
“Legends of Tomorrow” – Let’s start with the time-travel series, which to us has been the biggest surprise of the season so far. We anticipated that the subpar season 1 would turn people away, but the ratings have remained solid for the much-improved season 2. The show is moving from its Thursday timeslot to Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on January 24. Take this as a further sign that “No Tomorrow” won’t be lasting beyond its initial thirteen episodes.
“Riverdale” – The new series inspired (loosely) by the Archie comics will premiere on Thursday, January 26 at 9:00 p.m., moving up “Supernatural” an hour in the place of where “Legends of Tomorrow” is airing now.
“The 100” – This is one of our favorite CW shows and it will be returning on Wednesday, February 1, airing at 9:00 p.m. following “Arrow”. It will be taking the place of another series in “Frequency” that won’t be getting more episodes beyond its initial thirteen.
“Reign” – The costume drama will be taking over the spot of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” starting on February 10 at 9:00 p.m. after “The Vampire Diaries.” This is great news for this show, given that we at one point wondered if it was going to be shelved until the summer.
“The Originals” – Season 4 of the Joseph Morgan series will begin on March 17, interestingly after “The Vampire Diaries” is over. It’s a shame that the two shows won’t be on the air at the same time presumably ever again.
“iZombie” – Finally, you’re going to be waiting until April 4 to see this show return with new episodes. Its typical timeslot will be at 9:00 p.m. after “The Flash,” taking the place at this point of “Legends of Tomorrow.” Odds are, it’ll run over to the summer.
We’ll have a little bit more news on all of these shows as we continue to move a little bit further into the fall / winter. For now, leave us a comment in the box below and tell us which shows you’re most excited to see?
