‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’ episode 9 preview: Taylor’s sabotage of Adam continues
Tonight, “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X” delivered another entertaining merge episode, and one that especially managed to surprise us with the person who was voted out at the end of the hour. We were absolutely convinced that Adam was at the very least going to have to play his immunity idol, but he didn’t need to in the end! Instead, Michelle was voted out, and we lost someone who we felt at one point had the potential to be a really good player this season.
Now, the show must go on! We’ve got another episode airing next week, and it’s a chance for the game to reset once more … or is it?
Judging from the preview that we saw for the next new episode, it doesn’t seem like we’re going to see the alliances shift too much. The Jay / Will / Taylor group is going to be once again at the bottom, and they’ve gotta figure out what to do from here. For Taylor, his plan seems to be to tell everyone about the advantage that Adam has in the attempt to make him an enormous target. Maybe this will work, but at the same time, it’s not like this is an immunity idol! It’s just a chance for him to steal someone’s reward, and unless it’s a reward that is an advantage in immunity, nobody should strategically be concerned about him getting to go on a picnic or something.
To us, the more interesting dynamic right now is the one with the immunity idols. Adam has one, and so does Jay. Therefore, we could see an interesting situation coming up where one of them plays it. While it may seem like Taylor’s group is dead in the water right now, who knows? Eventually the Millennials could reconvene if they realize that Gen X is starting to have too many numbers. There’s a lot of room for flux left in this game.
