‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 10 (finale) spoilers: What’s coming for Aidan Turner, cast

Tonight, the journey of “Poldark” will be over on BBC One — at least for the season. There is more coming next year, or if you are watching on PBS in America, there are several episodes still to come for you to be able to watch and enjoy. (To be frank, though, we’re sure that “enjoy” is probably not a word you’d use to describe every scene that you seen.)

In preparation for tonight’s episode coming on the air, we thought we’d offer up five teasers focusing on characters played by many of your favorite characters, including Ross (Aidan Turner) and Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) — and also at least one that you probably love to hate.

1. Some surprising news reaches Elizabeth, and it will cause a sharp reaction from George. This is a guy who loves to parade around town making grand proclamations and showing of his power, and he’s going to be at his best / worst here.

2. You may have learned already that Dwight was planning to enlist in the navy during this episode, but what you may learn in this episode is that there is a new and very specific reason for it.

3. George will be at it again in hopes of trying to ruin Ross, and will specifically be looking at the mines once more as a way to do that.

4. Something terrible is going to be happening to Demelza over the course of the episode over some of her actions, which involve rounding up a group of people for a specific act.

5. By the end of the episode, you can expect the focus to be (once again) be on Ross as he tries to do the right thing. Sometimes, he can be a hero, but there are also plenty of times that he stumbles upon doing so.

Overall, we anticipate there being some action, some romance, and some heartache in the finale; after all, would it really be “Poldark” otherwise?
