‘Pitch’ episode 6 preview: What comes after latest Bill reveal
“Pitch” comes from the same executive producer as “This Is Us” in Dan Fogelman, so it really should not surprise anyone that there was another big twist that came about on Thursday night’s new episode … even if it wasn’t tied to the events of the present. We learned precisely how her father died, and we saw the events of it unfold in a rather emotional way. This moment helps to explain why Ginny values some of the bonds that she has so deeply, and in turn, that helps to explain further why events like the trade deadline are so stressful to her.
Moving into next week’s new episode “Wear It,” we are going to see a very different sort of stress play out. Specifically, we’re talking here about one related to an endorsement deal. Sure, from one vantage point this is wonderful given that it means an enormous amount of money and a flurry of new opportunities. Yet, at the same time there are also some pretty clear downsides, namely that it puts an even larger spotlight on you. If you start making mistakes, there is a sense that you could lose everything.
Synopsis – “Upon signing a huge deal with Nike, Ginny feels an overwhelming sense of pressure, which leads to a night of rebellion and a mandatory session with a therapist (Rita Wilson).”
Promo – Facing some of this pressure, you can see more of what Ginny decides to do below. It does look like she has a good time, but even she has to realize that there could be some problems that she faces as a result of this on the other side.
