‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 7 preview: Robert Wagner returns in ‘Home of the Brave’
Next week kicks off November sweeps, and with that, we’re going to see several shows do their part to come up with interesting stories that’ll attract viewers. “NCIS” is just one of them who will be doing their part to get some more eyeballs with next week’s “Home of the Brave.” While we’re not going to be seeing Michael Weatherly back on the show soon (he is rather busy these days with “Bull”), we’re going to be seeing Tony DiNozzo’s father make an appearance.
This guest spot should be fun from the vantage point of getting to see if Tony Jr.’s exit has caused any change at all to the family dynamic; while we don’t expect Weatherly, we would consider it a disappointment if there is not some sort of update regarding him and his daughter over the course of the hour.
Synopsis – “Torres boldly breaks protocol when he learns a witness in an NCIS case is wanted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Also, Abby, Bishop and McGee woo landlord Tony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner) in the hope of subletting Tony’s apartment.”
We imagine that the bulk of this story will revolve around Wilmer Valderrama’s story more so than the subplot featuring Wagner, if for no other reason than that we anticipate the latter’s story being a little more lighthearted and more about humor. Tony Sr.’s apartment proved to be a discussion point on the show as recently as the end of this past season, when some of our characters realized precisely how Tony was able to live in a place that seemed on the surface to be well above the income that he earned on the job.
