‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 6 preview: Abby’s gift-giving, Tony Gonzalez, and more in ‘Shell Game’
There are a couple of things that surprise us about next week’s all-new episode of “NCIS.” For one, we’re getting two straight appearances seemingly from Tony Gonzalez. The legendary former NFL tight end has made tiny little appearances as Tony Francis over the past few seasons, but this is the first time that we’ve seen him appear in multiple installments over the course of a season.
Granted, we don’t imagine that he will be a central component of the next new episode of the show, which carries with it the title of “Shell Game.” Instead, we’ll be seeing yet another important case, and then also Abby showing off some of her gift-giving abilities as she works to make all of the new agents feel more at home. (Remember, we’ve got Nick Torres, Alex Quinn, and Clayton Reeves on the show now on a regular basis.)
Synopsis – “After a kidnapped petty officer escapes her captor, NCIS uncovers a connection to her missing husband. Also, Abby knits the NCIS newbies personalized gifts, on NCIS, Tuesday, Oct. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Tony Gonzalez, former NFL player and studio analyst for “The NFL Today,” on the Network, returns as NCIS Special Agent Tony Francis.”
The unfortunate thing about this synopsis is that it doesn’t really give us just a heck of a lot of insight into what is coming up. It is nice to see a little bit of team-building, and we hope that this works to establish some camaraderie between all of them. You’re never going to establish the same chemistry that the original team had, so you may as well just forget about that as a possibility right now. However, there could still be something really cool and exciting that comes out of this new team dynamic.
