‘Bull’ spoilers: Prepare to meet ex-wife of Michael Weatherly’s character

Through most of “Bull” season 1 so far, we’ve had a chance to learn about the title character Dr. Jason Bull through his skill on the job, with a few assorted personal details thrown in there here and there.

One of the bigger ones is that Bull was once married, and the character Benny is his former brother-in-law through that. When we spoke with Freddy Rodriguez about this earlier this year, he joked that Jason got him in the divorce — a sign that there may be a divide among the siblings in that family. It only makes sense that we end up meeting this character soon, and we’re very excited to hear that could be happening.

Per a new report from TV Guide, the show is looking for someone to play the part of Bull’s ex in an upcoming episode, and apparently, producers may already have their eye on someone for the role. We’ll see what comes out when an official announcement is made.

The obvious excitement that comes out of this for us in the chance to potentially meet someone new who could be a fun new part of the universe. We don’t get the sense that Bull is incredibly jaded about his failed marriage, so while there could be some moments of acrimony here and there, we’d be shocked if there were full-on shouting matches all the time after she turns up. One other exciting thing about casting this sort of character is that you are potentially opening yourself up to get some other appearances from them moving forward, as well. This is the sort of show that yields itself to having a nice rotating panel of guest stars.
