‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: Nick Zano introduces us to Nate Heywood

The second season of “Legends of Tomorrow” is almost here! We would absolutely understand if you were to immediately think that the show was coming on the air tonight, given that the past two days have been ripe with new CW programming. Unfortunately, this particular show is waiting along with “Supernatural” for next week to roll around, given that this is going to be when they roll out the welcome wagon for new episodes.

Not only that, but we’ll be rolling out the welcome wagon to new characters! One of the major new additions to the show this year is Nick Zano as Nate Heywood / Citizen Steel. In the sneak peek below, we get the first sense of his speaking with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in Star City. He is a historian, and someone who uncovers some rather odd occurrences over the course of history. He suspects the Legends’ involvement, and may eventually have an opportunity to take part himself.

This preview is not the most substantial in the world, especially since you don’t get a sense of any of the major characters from the first season or what they are up to. Still, we do find this effective if for no other reason than that it serves as a reminder regarding precisely who the Legends could be interacting with, and just how valuable it could be to have someone with a little bit more in the way of history know-how as a part of the team. Just remember that it is definitely paying dividends on another show in “Timeless,” so we certainly do imagine that it could do so here, as well.
