‘Fargo’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ star Scoot McNairy to recur
Scoot McNairy already has one great show on his TV resume in AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire,” so why not go ahead and add another to the list?
Speaking to TVLine while at the red carpet for the 2016 Emmy Awards, Noah Hawley confirmed that the actor will be recurring on “Fargo” season 3 in a role that has not bee disclosed as of yet. What we know is that we can totally imagine him pulling off that famed North Dakota / Minnesota accent that has made this show famous over the years.
The addition of McNairy (who could still appear on “Halt and Catch Fire” if it is renewed, given that this is only a recurring part) is great in that he joins a list that includes “The Leftovers” actress Carrie Coon, Ewan McGregor playing two roles, and the recently-confirmed Mary Elizabeth Winstead. What is amazing about this show is that it really seems like Hawley and FX are casting first and foremost with tremendous talent in mind. While all of these people are extremely talented and some are well-known, nobody feels like stunt casting or a plot to ensure people watch.
Given the timing of filming coming up, we imagine that season 3 is going to premiere at some point several months (at the very least) into 2017. Trust us when we say we’ll have more updates on this show the moment that they become available. It’s certainly at the top of our list of shows we absolutely are awaiting with bated breath based on the quality of it.
